who we are
Ethruna is a small, independent studio that makes mobile applications for everyday life, and writes about the ideas behind them.
We build small, focused apps that fit into the way people already live, and we keep them free of noise and unnecessary data collection.
What we do
Ethruna started from one idea: technology should adapt to people, not the other way around. Many apps ask you to learn a new system before they help with anything. We prefer to start from a real, ordinary problem, such as getting out of bed on time, and solve that one problem as directly as we can.
Our apps
MorningCall is an alarm that wakes you with a realistic incoming phone call instead of an alarm tone. Because answering a ringing phone is a reflex, it is much harder to snooze than a normal alarm. It is available on Google Play.
Ritual is our second app, built around small daily habits and routines. It is coming soon.
The forum
The ethruna forum is where we write, in English and Turkish, about the subjects that shape how we think about people and their days: technology, mythology and psychology. The forum is free to read and does not require an account.
How we work
- One problem at a time. Each app does one thing and tries to do it well.
- Quiet by default. No account walls where they are not needed, and no noise.
- Privacy first. We collect only what an app needs to work. Details are in our privacy policy.
